Support

Hamilton Laboratories is committed to your complete satisfaction.  If you buy Hamilton C shell and you aren’t satisfied, you may return it within 90 days for any reason - or even for no reason! - for a complete refund. (Historically, our return rate is under 0.1%.)

If you have a question, call or send email.  We promise a prompt response.  If you need help setting up or using Hamilton C shell, we will spend whatever time it takes to get you going.

Updates are free for the first year and inexpensive after that and are available for downloaded from this site.

If you find a bug, we will fix it. No time limit, no charge, no excuses.  If we can reproduce it, we can generally fix it within a few days.  Here’s the information we’ll need:

  1. The exact build number, e.g., 3.0 You can determine the build number using the “ver.csh” command.  If you’re using an older version, please download the latest from this site to verify we haven’t already fixed the problem you encountered.

  2. The operating system you’re running, e.g., Windows XP Pro.

  3. A description of the problem telling what happened and how that differed from what you expected.  If you’re getting an error message, even if it’s one you think makes no sense, please give us the exact text of the message.  If you can supply a script that demonstrates the problem, that’s extremely helpful.  Knowing exactly what you typed and what output you got is really important.

  4. Any environment or shell variable settings you’re using.  You can dump these with the “set” and “setenv” commands.
