Hamilton C shell is and always has been fully Year 2000 compliant.
Dates are never manipulated anywhere internally in the product using only 2-digit year numbers. Internally, dates are always manipulated using 4 digits to represent the year or as a 64-bit value representing the number of 100-nanosecond intervals since January 1, 1601.
The only occasions where 2-digit years would be displayed in the output are those optional formats required to be supported by the International POSIX standard.
The only case where the user might enter a two-digit format for the year, expecting a contemporary date, is in the touch command, used to change the timestamp on a file or directory. In that case, years 81 to 99 are interpreted as 1981 to 1999; years 00 to 80 are interpreted as 2000 to 2080.
Customers with additional specific questions about the product or support or about Year 2000 compliance issues are encouraged to call or send email. We promise a prompt response.
